The following security roles were created to hold permissions from entities only present in the CRM application; the user should always have security roles from both the Sales Engagement and CRM applications. For example, a User should have both the ClickDimensions Sales User and the Click CRM User roles at the same time.
There are five CRM & Sales Engagement Security Roles, in order from most to least access:
ClickDimensions CRM Admin [New]
The Admin has full permissions over the environment. They can access the CRM Configure area and create, write and delete on all entities.
ClickDimensions Promote to Admin
Adds the System Admin role to the User. For use by Users who have been granted Admin privileges in the Admin Center, but does not have any System Admin roles assigned in CRM.
ClickDimensions CRM Manager [New]
The Manager has Read access to some Configure Area entities. Create, Read and Write permissions are included on entities outside of the Configure Area. They can access Opportunity, Competitor, Marketing List, and Campaign records owned by Users on the team they manage. Managers can see and edit any records owned by members of their team(s).
ClickDimensions CRM User [New]
The User has Read access to some Configure Area entities. Create, Read and Write permissions are included on entities owned outside of the Configure Area if the User is the record owner.
Depending on the version of CRM that you are using, you may see two versions of some security roles, with the only difference being that one is labeled "[New]". In this case, you should always use the roles labeled "[New]".
You may also see an old ClickDimensions CRM Sales Representative role - this has been replaced by the ClickDimensions CRM User [New} role and should not be used.
Managing Access
Any user can grant permissions to other users via the Manage Access button that can be found under the Share option.
Note: These security roles complement and are meant to be used alongside the Sales Engagement security roles. Every User should have both a SE security role and a CRM security role.
