Handoff to Marketing
If a sales rep has reached out to a contact and qualified the contacts fits the target profile, shows interest but it not ready to make a purchase decision, the rep can pass the contact to Marketing for nurturing.
Step 1: Contact is part of a Sequence. Go to the Contact record and select the Sequence History tab
Step 2: Click on the Next Sales Activity in the Next Sales Activity in column
Step 3: The Activity window opens, Select the action Close Activity. The Close Activity window is displayed
Step 4: Choose an outcome and in the next steps select End Sequence, Select an Activity close status as Interested, Not Now and in the follow up Activity select Handoff to Marketing, Click Ok.
Step 5: The activity will be closed and the Handoff to Marketing window opens. Add a Reason for Transition & Save. Contacts will be transferred to the marketing team via the Handoff to Marketing Queue for nurturing.
Step 6: Once the Contact has been Handed off to Marketing, they can be viewed in the Handoffs to Marketing section in the Marketing Automation Application. Marketing can review the details of the prospect and determine how to best nurture the prospect, e.g. product of interest, buyer profile and add the prospect to the relevant Campaign Automation.
