How Click Excludes a Recipient Using Subscription Management
Posted Subscriptions and Posted Preferences exist for record-keeping purposes; they are not the records that control whether or not a recipient receives an email or SMS message. This is handled by the Unsubscribe records, and if you are on the Opt-In Subscription Management method the most recent preferences are held by Click for a faster send process. Preferences must be created via the subscription page, a form, or the Click Import Tool and these methods should also update the preferences for the recipient when directly linked to your Subscription Pages.
